Private Events

 

The staff of the Event Center has many years of experience and has produced hundreds of memorable events.  From wedding receptions to corporate retreats, this historic venue offers a unique setting for your event.  

The Songbird can host your event of up to 175 people and includes the use of the historic Gayway Music Hall.  Pricing is based per person with the exception of hall rental and includes the following rentals:

  • Tables
  • Chairs 
  • Linen
  • Plateware
  • Silverware
  • Glassware
  • Votive Table Candles
  • Service Equipment
  • Sound System (Contract musicians are responcible for providing their own equipment as well as set up and tear down)
  • 12' Movie Screen

Deposits, Guarantees & Cancellations

A deposit equal to the amount of the rental charge of the facility is due upon signing the contract and holds your reservation.  Ten days prior to the event a 50% deposit for catering is required.  The balance of the catering fee will be collected on the day of the event.  No later than thirty days prior to your event, a member of our planning staff will meet to plan the specifics, beverages and any special requiements.  Ten days prior to your event we will ask for a guarantee for the minimum number of guests that will be attending .  Manageable increases in your guest count will be allowed until 48 hours prior to the event.  Cancellation of an event will forfeit all deposits (see contract).

Tax & Service Charges

The Songbird Event Centerl is located in Pueblo County and recognizes a three and nine tenths (3.9%) tax on all goods and services.  An eighteen percent (18%) service charge will be included on food and beverage on all events.
